Jumpstart Afterschool Program

Jump Start is an afterschool program serving children in the Meadowview Community of Sacramento, California. The program provides a safe environment for elementary and intermediate school aged children at Freeport Elementary School and New Hope Community Center. It offers academic support, nurturing mentorship, and faith building guidance to the children of Meadowview.

Philosophy
By providing a small and intimate program where students can take advantage of greater attention, Jump Start Staff believe kids are in a better position to succeed for the future and give back to their community. It is also Jump Start’s goal to maintain positive long term relationships with its kids and provide support to their families.

It takes a village to raise a child. In today’s urban village, parents, teachers, community members, social service providers all play a role in seeing to the growth of our children. Jump Start Staff also believe in collaborating with the important role players in a child’s life to help provide stability and long term growth.
